Bamboo with different colors in the garden grow depending on trains approaches from 10 minutes to arrive. Each color represents different subway line that stops on Union Square.
Therefore people can know when the train is coming and stay around bamboo garden in Union Square while they are waiting for the train rather than waiting dusty underground.
